I recently joined author and psychotherapist Imi Lo for a stimulating interview about the Driven Personality for her podcast Eggshell Transformations. Imi explores the Intense Personality through her writing, therapy, and podcasts.  Because there is some overlap between Driven and Intense personalities, both with beneficial potential and dangerous pitfalls, we thought a conversation might be informative.
In our discussion we explore the nature of the Driven Personality through Jungian and clinical lenses. We consider the differences between OCD and OCPD, the origins of OCPD, the archetypes of Hero and Individuation, subtypes of OCPD, some of the ways that psychotherapy can address OCPD, and an alchemical metaphor for resilience.
The interview is 45 minutes long. Her site has a transcription of our discussion and a video trailer as well. Hope you enjoy it.
